• Take A1 North or South, leaving at A184 (signposted Gateshead Town Centre)


• Branch left, then merge onto the A184 (signposted Gateshead)


• Entering Gateshead, Junction with A189, Branch left, then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Askew Road - A184 (signposted Gateshead Town Centre)


• Turn right at the first set of lights


• At roundabout take the 4th exit onto Askew Road (as if doing a u-turn) - A184


• Turn left onto Mulgrave Terrace and follow road into the Business Centre car park, reception is on your left.

In the event that there are no parking places at the GIBC when you arrive, you may park at the Greenesfield Business Centre, just down the road. There are always spaces there, and this is the official overflow parking for GIBC. Please observe the car park rules, which are as follows:

• Park only in marked parking spaces
• Do not park in the spaces reserved for those with a disability unless you have a valid disabled parking permit
• Do not block other cars, as people come and go all day

• From Newcastle Airport, join the A696 to Newcastle


• Join the A1 South to Gateshead


• Then follow directions for travel by road

• Take train to Newcastle Central Station


• Then take the Metro from Central Station one stop to Gateshead (Town Centre). If available, buy the hopper ticket - it is cheaper than two singles, and allows unlimited travel within the same zone.


• The GIBC is a short walk from the metro station - about 4 minutes. When exiting the station, walk through the turnstiles and straight ahead to the exit that leads to Wilkinsons, Iceland, etc. Once out of the station, turn right to walk toward the High Street, and turn left. After a few hundred metres, you will see a pedestrian bridge (tunnel) on your left. Go through the tunnel and you will see the GIBC directly in front of you.

• There are regular buses from Newcastle and around the region into Gateshead Interchange Bus Station. Leave Gateshead Metro/ Bus Interchange, by the exit nearest Bus Stand A.


• Cross at pelican crossing and continue straight on, up the steps and past the flats.


• Turn right at the bottom of the railings and follow the road into the business centre car park, reception is on the left.
